The DKI Provincial Government Is Looking For A Regional Secretary

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Personnel Agency (BKD) Maria Qibtya is preparing an open selection process for the position of Regional Secretary (Sekda) of DKI which is now filled by acting (plt).

"We are preparing the administration (the mechanism for the auction of the position of the Regional Secretary). If there is, it will be announced openly," Maria said in a short message, Thursday, December 8.

When it has been announced, the open selection process of the Regional Secretary who is based as a high-ranking official will go through a number of stages. Starting from registration, data verification, written tests and paper writing, competency tests, to medical tests.

Participants in the selection of positions of the Regional Secretary of DKI must meet a number of requirements. Among them, they have the lowest educational qualifications for undergraduate or diploma IV; have technical competencies, managerial competencies, and socio-cultural competencies according to the standard competency of the Position set.

Then, have experience in the field of duties related to positions that will be occupied cumulatively for a minimum of 7 years; moderate or having occupied JPT Pratama or JF at the main expert level for a minimum of 2 years; have a good track record of Position, integrity and morality; the highest age 58 years; and physically and mentally healthy.

The registration requirements refer to Government Regulation (PP) Number 11 of 2017 concerning Civil Servant Management (PNS).

After the selection process is carried out, the position selection committee will select a number of candidates for the DKI Regional Secretary who are declared to have passed the selection.

These names will later be submitted to President Joko Widodo to be elected as the definitive Regional Secretary of DKI. This was revealed by the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono some time ago.

"The Regional Secretary will be elected by the President. (The authority to choose an official) echelon I is Mr. President," said Heru.

It is known that Heru removed Marullah Matali from the position of Secretary of DKI Jakarta on December 2. Heru shifted Marullah's position, who is now Deputy Governor of Culture and Tourism in DKI.

To fill the temporary vacuum, Heru inaugurated the Assistant for People's Welfare of the DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary Uus Kuswanto to be the Acting Regional Secretary of DKI. The plan is that the definitive appointment of the DKI Regional Secretary is expected to be elected at the end of December 2022 or early January 2023.
