The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Will Detain 6 Suspects Suspected Of Corruption In The Procurement Of LNG Before 2022 Ends

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is seeking to detain six suspects in alleged corruption in the procurement of liquid natural (LNG) at PT Pertamina in 2011-2021. The six are expected to be detained before the year changes.

"Hopefully (forced efforts will be made, ed) within the time before this year ends. Hopefully," said KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Karyoto in a KPK YouTube broadcast, Tuesday, December 6.

Karyoto ensured that the KPK did not want to buy time to resolve the investigation of this case. However, the detention process must calculate the time held by the anti-corruption commission.

He ensured that the alleged corruption would be thoroughly investigated. In fact, the KPK is currently coordinating intensely with the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) to calculate state losses.

"We only measure time. In time, the six suspects will definitely be forced efforts," he said.

The KPK has named a suspect in connection with allegations of corruption in the procurement of liquid natural (LNG) at PT Pertamina in 2011-2021. However, the name and construction of the case have not yet been submitted to the public.

Meanwhile, the anti-corruption commission has asked the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to prevent four people from leaving the country in this case. Based on the information gathered, the parties prevented were former President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Karen Agustiawan, Haru Karyulanto, Yenni Andyani, and Dimas Mohamad Aulia.

In addition, a number of witnesses suspected of knowing the actions of the suspects have been summoned by KPK investigators. One of them, former President Director of PT Pertamina Dwi Soejipto who was asked to explain the sale and purchase of LNG procurement at Pertamina in 2011-2021.
