JAKARTA - The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) sent a letter to the Head of the National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency (Kabareskrim), Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo. This letter is related to the investigation into the deaths of six Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) troops in the shooting incident that took place on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road on Monday, December 7.

Komnas HAM Commissioner and Head of the Investigation Team Choirul Anam said that the summons for the doctor who carried out the autopsy on the bodies of the six FPI members was carried out because the information was needed.

"The summons were addressed to the doctor who performed the autopsy on the bodies of six people (FPI members, red). It is important for the team to get additional information in order to deepen both the procedure, process and substance of the autopsy being carried out," said Choirul in a written statement to reporters, Wednesday, 16 December.

Komnas HAM hopes that this call will be fulfilled by the police. This is in accordance with the commitment to openness previously conveyed by the Head of Metro Jaya Police Inspector General Fadil Imran after conducting an investigation some time ago.

"We hope that the commitment to openness that has been conveyed will be implemented well," he said.

Previously, Komnas HAM had summoned a number of representatives from a number of parties, including the police to PT Jasa Marga, to investigate the shooting incident on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, which has two chronological versions, namely the police and FPI versions.

It is known that the police attack carried out by Rizieq Shihab's army took place at around 00.30 WIB Monday, December 7 in the morning.

Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran said that the police received news that a mass of supporters of Rizieq Shihab would be deployed in connection with an investigation called Inspector General Fadil circulating in many WhatsApp groups.

The Regional Police conducted an investigation into the truth of the information and followed the vehicle Rizieq was in. On the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road, Fadil said the officers' vehicles were intercepted and then attacked using firearms and sharp weapons.

Munarman also denied that Rizieq's followers had firearms. Therefore, Munarman emphasized that no shootout was carried out by the police and members of the laskar.

Next, five bodies were buried in the Megamendung Sharia Markaz complex, namely Andi Oktiawan (33), Faiz Ahmad Syukur (22), Ahmad Sofiyan alias Ambon (26), Muhammad Suci Khadavi (21) and Lutfi Hakim (25). Meanwhile, the body of Muhammad Reza (20) was buried by the family.
