Puput Setyoko, a fungi farmer in Borobudur, Magelang Regency, has an interesting story about his business. The fungi culture, which has been occupied since 2013, has now developed into educational tourism thanks to the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo. Puput recounted that at first he was just a small fungi farmer. Three years later, 2016 to be precise, starting to try producing processed mushrooms, such as chips and fungi crackers. “ At that time, this business was not widely known to the public. I have difficulty developing, especially regarding marketing,” Puput said in an electronic message received in Jakarta, Sunday, December 4. However, Puput did not know despair and continued to work on this business, until finally luck came. His place of business in Jowahan Hamlet, Wanurejo Village, Borobudur District, Magelang Regency, was visited by Governor Ganjar. Since then, his business has become increasingly popular. Tourists flocked. “ In 2018, he started pioneering educational tourism. At that time, Pak Ganjar was visited, and immediately known to the public more widely. Tourist visits are getting more and more crowded," he continued. The figure of Ganjar for him has a big influence on branding his business. Plus, his efforts were uploaded in Ganjar Lapak. “ At that time there were a lot of people visiting here. There were tourists from Kalimantan who deliberately came here, because they got information from Lapak Ganjar, and even asked for a photo with me,” he said with a laugh. He added, in one day there are around 200 travelers who come. Even during weekends, the average is up to 1,000 tourists. "Because it is growing rapidly, I was finally able to build a pendapa-pendapa, as a tourist facility that came," he said. His fungi educational tour can now be enjoyed by visitors comfortably. In addition to infrastructure, tourists are served by 16 employees. "In the past there were only four people, now there are 16 employees here," said Puput. According to him, Governor Ganjar really cares about MSMEs. Apart from his figure, Ganjar also has breakthroughs that can lift MSMEs.
