Temporarily Closed 33 Stores, KFC Will Open 25 New Stores In 2021

JAKARTA - The manager of KFC outlets, PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk (FAST) currently has a total of 738 outlets throughout the country. Companies are not afraid to face the COVID-19 pandemic situation, where next year they plan to add 25 outlets.

The 738 outlets include the four new KFC outlets that opened this year. These include KFC Bintaro Emerald, KFC Kemang Selatan, KFC Labuan Bajo and the thematic outlet KFC Naughty by Nature (KFC NBN) located in Senopati.

Citing the disclosure of information on Fast Food Indonesia on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) website, Wednesday, December 16, they are targeting to open 25 more outlets in 2021 and re-operate 33 outlets which are currently still temporarily closed. Fast Food Indonesia is also preparing a capital expenditure (capex) fund of IDR 320 billion to IDR 350 billion in 2021.

With the increase in outlets, KFC is confident that sales can reach IDR 7 trillion through the operation of this newly opened outlet, which will reopen next year, as well as existing outlets.

PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk hopes a lot from the government in the next year. The company, codenamed FAST, wants government policies such as large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) that hinder tourism businesses to be relaxed.

"We hope that it can be reopened, so that it can provide a better opportunity to do business. Therefore we will make maximum progress so that we can achieve our sales target next year," said the management of Fast Food Indonesia.

The COVID-19 pandemic is still a frightening specter for the business world in the country. Fast Food Indonesia must close 33 of their outlets this year.

The company has several considerations regarding the closure of these outlets. First, because KFC outlets are located at transit points such as airports or stations.

"Second, because the owners of the property area where KFC outlets are located are temporarily closed. The 33 KFC outlets do not mean that they are closed or stop operating, because if things improve and the property area reopens, we plan to re-operate the 33 outlets," clearly the management of fast Food Indonesia.
