Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno Paparkan Program Percepatan Pemulihan Parekraf

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno said the National Convention on the Indonesian National Work Competency Standard Draft (SKKNI), the Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI), and the Occupation Scheme on 10 Tourism Sectors were part of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy program.

Sandiaga Uno said the program was aimed at Accelerating Recovery and Increasing Productivity of the Tourism and Creative Economy Sector (Parekraf). Namely through Upskilling (enhanced competence), Reskilling (enforcement of competence), and New Skilling (addition of new competencies).

This is expected to create business opportunities for competent and sustainable Parekraf human resources. Sandiaga Uno then continued, if this program is a form of implementing the main strategy of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, namely Innovation, Adaptation, and Collaboration.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy together with Bank Duni collaborated on the Integrated and Sustainable Tourism Development Project (ITDP) which uses PHLN Funds.

The work unit at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy that oversees this program is the Directorate of Standardization of Competency with the Deputy for Resources and Institutions.

"Menparekraf believes that the Tourism and Creative Economy sector has the potential to absorb a lot of workers and create the widest possible employment opportunities," said Sandiaga Uno, Thursday, December 1.

Meanwhile, Deputy for Resources and Institutions of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, dumpling Mohamad Paham, or who is familiarly called Diah Paham, said that the Competency-Based Standard (CBS) is a competency-based standard that is structured synergistically and comprehensively in order to improve the competence of Indonesian human resources.

"CBS is prepared to meet the needs of industry and the business world for competent workers, and to have work skills that include aspects of knowledge, skills, expertise. As well as work attitudes that are relevant to the implementation of the duties and terms of office that are set," he said.

In the future, the CBS Document Compilator Team consists of several elements of stakeholders, namely Master Assessor, Assessor, Industry representatives, Professional Certification Institutions (LSP) and Academics.

Diah added, through this National Convention, the preparation of documents is a standard of competence. Be it the Draft SKKNI, KKNI, or the Occupation Scheme in 10 tourism fields. This can be obtained by the public, accountable, so that it can be implemented properly in the tourism industry in Indonesia.

"The resulting documents will be quality and implementation documents. And able to support various efforts of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to ensure the sustainability of the supply of skilled and competent workers for the tourism sector," he said.

This activity was held simultaneously in four places in Jakarta, namely the ASTON Kartika Grogol Hotel & Conference Center as the opening venue, Novotel Jakarta Mangga Dua Square, Swiss-Belresidences Kalibata, and Hotel Santika Premiere Hayam Wuruk Jakarta.

This National Convention is the final stage of a series of Competency-Based Standards (CBS) activities in 2022, which is one of the flagship programs of the Deputy for Resources and Institutions that use PHLN (Foreign Grants) Funds from the World Bank.
