Secretary General of the NasDem Party Johnny Plate spoke about a number of obstacles that his party's presidential candidate Anies Baswedan has encountered in undergoing political safaris in a number of areas recently. "Of course this is democracy, right. For the sake of democracy, of course, local governments also need to help smooth the program to improve the quality of Indonesian democracy," Plate told reporters at the Jakarta Presidential Palace Complex, Antara, Thursday, December 1. Previously, a number of obstacles were faced by Anies Baswedan when carrying out political safaris to a number of regions. In Aceh, the permit for the venue for the event was revoked by the Department of Culture and Tourism. Meanwhile, in Riau, the venue for the event had to be moved because at the same time it would be used by the local government.
