The West Java Prosecutor's Office Gets Rp6.5 Billion In Returnal Money From The Corruption Of BOS Funds At The Ministry Of Religion Office

The West Java High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) managed to get a refund of Rp6.5 billion from the corruption case of madrasa School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds within the West Java Ministry of Religion Regional Office (Kemenag) in the 2017-2018 fiscal year. Head of the West Java Prosecutor's Office, Asep N Mulyana, said that in that case there were four suspects with the initials EH, AL, MK, and MSA who had been detained since October 21, 2022. They are suspected of conspiring to commit corruption from the procurement of sheets regarding the madrasa test to the detriment of the state amounting to Rp22 billion. "Currently, after the team worked on marathons and simultaneously, we have received a deposit of Rp6.5 billion from a total of Rp22 billion," said Asep at the West Java Prosecutor's Office, Bandung City, West Java, Antara, Thursday, December 1. In this case, according to him, West Java Prosecutor's Office investigators have examined 56 witnesses. He also targets his party to be able to optimally return the state losses from the corruption case. Meanwhile, Head of the West Java Prosecutor's Office Investigation Section, Dodi Gazali, said the refund came from the Madrasah Working Group (KKM) in a number of districts and cities suspected of receiving directions from the suspect in the procurement of the exam sheet. "Even today we will continue to develop, the KKM of each city district will be returned, while we have no confirmation regarding the refund from the suspect, we will continue to complete this file," said Dodi. Previously, EH, AL, MK, and MSA, were named suspects in the case of budget inflating or mark-ups in the management of the BOS budget for the examination for the Tsanawiyah madrasah throughout West Java. EH and AL are parties from the West Java KKM who allegedly directed KKM in each district and city to commit the criminal act of corruption. Meanwhile, the Constitutional Court and MSA are private parties who are suspected of receiving and working on the project to procure the exam questions. The four suspects are suspected of violating Article 2, Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2011 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
