PENAJAM - A housewife with the initials MS (41) in North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan was arrested by the police. The perpetrator is known to have helped her husband serve 'guests' who want to buy methamphetamine. "MS was arrested as a result of the development of the arrest of AA (26)," said North Penajam Paser Police Chief, AKBP Hendrik Eka Bahalwan in Penajam, Antara, Wednesday, November 30. AA was arrested by Sector Police or Babulu Police, in the front yard of a rented house in RT 4 Babulu Darat Village, Babulu District on November 24, 2022. According to the perpetrator AA, 8.6 grams of crystal methamphetamine was obtained by AA from a man from Api-Api Village, Waru District with the initials EM. EM at the time of AA's arrest was in a rented house. However, the perpetrator managed to escape through the kitchen door of the rented house. EM is currently designated as a DPO. Officers then went to EM's house in Api-Api Village, Waru District, and found EM's wife, MS was at home. MS showed the green leaf patterned cloth bag containing six packages of crystal methamphetamine to the police during the search. In the bag, the police also found Rp3,550,000 in cash with Rp100,000 and Rp50,000 denominations allegedly the proceeds from the sale of methamphetamine, as well as cell phones and plastic wraps. According to MS, the evidence found belonged to EM's husband. Hendrik continued, MS also helped her husband sell methamphetamine if her husband was not at home. The North Penajam Paser Police are committed to eradicating cases of drug abuse and trafficking in the local jurisdiction.
