JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Handling Task Force released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 82,446 specimens were examined with the result that there were 5,766 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,659,235 people and active cases have increased by 236 to 58,119 cases", he was quoted as saying from data from the COVID-19 Task Force, Tuesday, November 29.

Today's recovered cases increased by 5,476 people, bringing a total of 6,441,327 people recovered. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 54 cases and a total of 159,789 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 2,020 cases and a total of 1,514,550 cases. Followed by West Java with 1,208 new cases with a total of 1,217,835 cases. Banten had 693 new cases and a total of 358,935 cases. East Java has 582 new cases and a total of 631,207 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 2,000 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 984 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 660 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 582 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 112,408,992.

"The positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 20.86 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases is recorded at 6,579 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had COVID-19 cases.

To date, 203,715,848 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 174,119,714 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 66,624,569 people and the fourth dose was 795,294 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
