Update On COVID-19 Per December 15: New Cases Of 6,120, The Most Increase In West Java

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 60,700 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 6,120 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 629,429 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Tuesday, December 15.

Today's cases increased by 5,699, so that a total of 516,656 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 155 people and the total was 19,111 people.

The province with the most new cases is in West Java with 1,256 new cases and a total of 68,066 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta which has 1,117 new cases with a total of 155,122 cases. Central Java has 764 new cases and a total of 68,260 cases. Then, East Java has 735 new cases and a total of 71,369 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to West Java with an increase of 1,140 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an increase of 1,137 recovered cases, Central Java with an increase of 877 recovered cases, and East Java with an increase of 760 recovered cases.

Then, none of the provinces reported having no new cases today. The province with the least number of new cases was Gorontalo with 1 case.

In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 6,485,085. In detail, as many as 6,372,764 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 112,321 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).

Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was 63,666 people. Currently, 510 districts / cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.
