A 13-Year-Old Girl In Serang Banten Was Raped By A Teenager She Met On Facebook

SERANG – An underage girl in Serang Regency, Banten became a victim of sexual abuse by someone she just met on social media. The modus operandi of the perpetrators is by giving liquor to the victim until she is helpless.

The perpetrator with the initials RA (19) was registered as a resident of Cikande, Serang. Before being used as a target for lust, a 13-year-old girl from Cikande was apparently force-fed with liquor.

Kapolres Serang AKBP Yudha Satria explained, from the information obtained from the victim, the suspect RA met the victim via Facebook. After several chats, the suspect invited the victim to meet at a location.

"Sunday, at around 20.00, the victim met the suspect at the agreed place," explained the Police Chief accompanied by Head of Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Dedi Mirza, in a written statement, Monday, November 28.

After meeting the victim, the suspect RA took the victim to his friend's house in Cikande District. Arriving at his friend's house, the suspect invited the victim to drink red wine.

"The victim refused but was forced by the suspect to drink alcohol. As a result of the influence of alcohol, the victim was drunk and unconscious. The victim's condition was used by the suspect to vent his lust. The suspect admitted to having sex with the victim twice," explained the police chief.

After being satisfied with venting his lust, continued AKBP Yudha, the suspect took the victim home. Arriving home, the victim did not dare to tell her parents what had happened.

However, the victim's parents were suspicious of the change in their daughter's behavior. When asked by her mother, the victim did not dare to open up, but after being pressed by the victim finally told her that she had intercourse with the suspect by force-feeding with alcohol.

"After receiving an acknowledgment from their daughter, the victim's parents reported it to the Serang Police," he said.

After receiving the report and post-mortem results, as well as the victim's and witness's statements, the PPA Unit personnel immediately moved to look for the suspect and managed to catch him while he was hanging out at around 23.00 WIB.

The suspect RA was arrested by personnel from the Serang Police Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) while on the side of the road in Panebong Village, Nambo Ilir Village, Kibin District, Serang Regency, Sunday evening, November 27.

As a result of his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 81 Paragraph (1) and Paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 82 Paragraph (1) RI Law No. 17 of 2016 concerning the second amendment to RI Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning child protection, which carries a minimum prison sentence of 5 years and a maximum of 15 years in prison.
