JAKARTA - Head of Public Relations of the West Java Regional Police, Kombes Pol Erdi A Chaniago, said that Bogor Regent Ade Yasin had fulfilled the summons as a witness, Tuesday, November 15, regarding the case of the Megamendung crowd at Rizieq Shihab's activities.

Ade was present at the West Java Regional Police General Criminal Investigation Directorate Building at around 10.00 WIB. The number one person in Bogor Regency was present wearing red clothes and headscarves.

"Earlier (the examination) took place starting at 10.00 WIB, now we just wait, the person concerned is still giving information to investigators according to today's invitation," said Erdi at the West Java Regional Police, Bandung City, West Java, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, November 15. .

When he came to the West Java Regional Police, Ade had not commented on his presence. Apart from Ade, Erdi said the police also invited a number of experts to be asked for information regarding the crowd case in Megamendung on Friday, November 13.

"There are several, including experts from epidemiology and law from one of the leading universities in West Java," said Erdi.

He said that his party would also conduct an investigation with West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil on Wednesday, December 16. But until now he admitted that his party had not received confirmation of the presence of the man who was familiarly called Kang Emil.

"Hopefully tomorrow according to expectations and the time concerned (Ridwan Kamil) will attend, but we have not fully confirmed it," said Erdi.

Previously, Ade Yasin was also scheduled to provide clarification regarding the case on Friday, November 20. However, at that time Ade Yasin was still confirmed as COVID-19 so the examination process was rescheduled.

Rizieq refused to provide any information during questioning

Meanwhile, West Java Regional Police General Criminal Investigation Director Kombes Pol CH Patoppoi said Rizieq Shihab was reluctant to provide information when questioned by investigators regarding the crowd case in Megamendung, Bogor.

Rizieq, who is still a witness regarding the alleged violation of the health protocol in Megamendung, did not refuse when he was approached by investigators who were about to conduct an examination at Polda Metro Jaya on Monday, December 14.

"Rizieq is still being questioned accompanied by his legal adviser. But when asked, would you be willing to be investigated? The answer concerned was not willing to provide information for the Megamendung case," said Patoppoi.

According to Patoppoi, Rizieq was reluctant to be questioned because the frontman of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) was currently focusing on the case handled by Polda Metro Jaya. Rizieq is currently being held by Polda Metro Jaya after he was named a suspect due to the crowd in Petamburan, Jakarta.

"The minutes are still signed by MRS (Rizieq), and their legal advisers," he said.

Patoppoi said that refusal to provide information is a common thing in the investigation process.

However, he confirmed that the alleged violation of the health protocol due to the crowd in Megamendung, Bogor, on Friday, November 13, continued according to applicable legal procedures.

"That's a normal thing and it doesn't matter, because it is the right to be examined, the investigation will continue," he said.
