KAI Apologizes For The KRL Incident Destined For Kampung Bandan Manggarai Anjlok

PT KAI Commuter Indonesia apologized for operational constraints at the electric train crossing (KRL) in Bandan Village, Pademangan, North Jakarta.

"We apologize for the operational constraints on train travel at the crossing because joint officers ensured safe crossings first for train crossings." said VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter Indonesia Anne Purba, quoted from Antara, Sunday, November 27.

Currently, the KRL trip for the Manggarai-Tanah Abang route is still using one route in turn.

Anne said it was caused by a joint officer who was still checking the condition of the rail line infrastructure.

Anne said the electric rail carriage fell at the crossing of Kampung Bandan-Mangggarai, and was successfully evacuated by officers and taken to further inspection and repair at Balai Yasa Manggarai, Sunday, at around 13.05 WIB.

As for 13.21 WIB, after repairing the railway infrastructure on the Bandan-Angke Village crossing, which had experienced problems, the officers then tested trying to run the train using a series without passengers.

"The trial is to ensure infrastructure security after inspection and repair," he said.

Previously, about 50 passengers were on the 514C train Electric Rail Train on the Kampung Bandan route to Manggarai which crashed on Saturday at 13:47 WIB, before being evacuated using another KRL carriage to the Jakarta Kota station.

Anne said there were no victims in the train accident, during an online press conference in Jakarta.

Anne further said that the KAI Commuter Indonesia (KCI) team engineered the operating pattern as follows:

1. Manggarai-Kampung Bandan-Jatinegara train trips only up to Angke Station;2. Jatinegara-Kampung Bandan-Mangggarai train trips only arrive at Pasar Senen Station.
