10 RTs In Koja, Pluit And Penjaringan Affected By The Rob Flood, DKI BPBD Ask Residents To Stay Alert

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) appealed to residents to remain alert to high tides (rob). In particular, residents in nine Neighborhood Associations (RT) in Koja and Penjaringan sub-districts, North Jakarta.

"BPBD noted that currently there are 10 RTs or 0.033 percent of the 30,470 RTs in the DKI Jakarta area affected by the tidal wave," said Head of the Disaster Data and Information Processing Unit of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Michael Sitanggang in his statement in Jakarta, Friday, November 25.

Of the 10 RTs, nine of them are in Koja Village (Koja District), Pluit and Penjaringan Village (Pejaringan District).

Based on information on coastal flood alerts released by BMKG for the period November 22-28, 2022, currently there are tides that have the potential to cause coastal flooding in several locations in the DKI Jakarta area.

Meanwhile, based on BPBD data, Koja Village has two RTs that are inundated with tidal waves with a height of between 20 and 30 centimeters (cm).

Furthermore, Pluit Village has six RTs inundated with a height of 25 cm. Penjaringan Village, there is one RT inundated with a tidal wave with a height of 25 cm.

Another RT in Jakarta that was submerged by tidal waves is in Tegal Alur Village, Kalideres, West Jakarta, with a height of 20 cm inundation.

Meanwhile, the areas where the inundation has receded are North Jakarta with two RTs in Marunda Village, Cilincing.

BPBD DKI Jakarta mobilizes personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each region and coordinate with joint elements of the Water Resources Service, Highways Service and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Fire and Rescue Service.

In addition, affected villages and sub-districts to ensure water lines function properly and inundation can recede quickly.

The officer also appealed to residents if in an emergency, immediately contact the telephone number 112. This service is free and operates for 24 hours.
