Still Calculated, The DKI Jakarta UMP 2023 Will Be Set November 28

JAKARTA - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta announced the determination of the provincial minimum wage (UMP) 2023 on November 28, 2022.

"In accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower (Permenaker) Number 18 of 2022, it is no later than announcing the determination of the UMP in 2023 on November 28," said Head of the Manpower, Transmigration, Energy Office of DKI Jakarta Andri Yansyah in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Thursday 24 November.

Andri said the 2023 UMP was determined by the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono through a governor's decision in accordance with the Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 18 of 2022.

"In accordance with the wage council hearing, the basis for determining the UMP is DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation (Pergub) Number 1517 of 2021," he said.

In this case, the results of the Wage Council session set the UMP based on the governor's regulation, so that the nominal UMP applicable in DKI Jakarta Province in 2023.

"Meanwhile, the labor element wage council proposes 10.55 or the equivalent of 5.131, while from government elements, proposes in accordance with the 18 2022 candy, but uses 20 percent alpha, equivalent to IDR 4,901,798," he added.

In accordance with the permenaker, the formula for calculating the UMP 2023 also regulates which includes inflation variables, economic growth, and valuation variables (alpha).

The alpha variable is a labor contribution to economic growth which takes the form of a certain value from the range of values that have been determined by the Central Government, which is between 10 and 30 percent.
