JAKARTA - Executive Director of the Citra Institute Yusa Fachran assessed that the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) has yet to find candidates for a presidential candidate or presidential candidate from an internal element who has qualified electability. This obstacle makes the declaration of the KIB presidential candidate complete.

"From the beginning it was formed until now, the problem with KIB is that there is no stock of candidates from internal high electability," he said, Tuesday, November 22.

Yusa said Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto was the most likely person to be promoted by KIB in the 2024 presidential election.

"The number of Golkar seats is the largest compared to PPP and PAN," he added. However, KIB, especially Golkar, must be realistic. He views that KIB has the option of taking presidential candidates from outside the coalition if Airlangga does not experience a significant increase in electability in the next few months. Mainly when the nomination stages for presidential and vice presidential candidates in 2024 began.

"If that happens, KIB has other scenarios, it must be realistic. If you take someone outside the coalition, of course it's not far from three names," said Yusa.

He also explained in detail the three names that could be glimpsed into the KIB presidential candidate exchange because their electability was qualified in a number of surveys related to the 2024 presidential election. They are Prabowo Subianto, Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan.

Of the three names, Yusa said that the most often mentioned in KIB was Ganjar Pranowo. The Governor of Central Java is considered to have obtained support from PAN cadres and PPP. So it must be decided on one name. It seems that it is still considering the political map that is happening in the future," said Yusa.
