JAKARTA - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Central Java Province (Central Java) is investigating the alleged practice of money politics that occurred in the simultaneous regional elections in four districts.

"This is based on reports we received from community groups at the 2020 Regional Election of Concurrent Election regarding the alleged practice of money politics in Pekalongan, Purworejo, Pemalang and Purbalingga Regencies," said Coordinator of the Public Relations and Interagency Relations Division of Central Java Bawaslu, Rofiuddin, as quoted from Antara, Sunday, December 13. .

He revealed that until now he is still carrying out the process of investigating and deepening by going directly to the field regarding allegations of money politics.

"So to this day we are still investigating and examining, indeed there are some that have been processed by registers, but on average they are still in the process of tracing and deepening," he said.

If based on the results of deepening in the field, he continued, it fulfills the element of an alleged money politics crime, then it will be followed up in accordance with the existing provisions.

In addition to allegations of money politics, Central Java Bawaslu together with Bawaslu of each district / city also handled alleged cases related to the neutrality of the state civil apparatus (ASN) during the elections for 95 cases and violations of neutrality by village heads in 63 cases.

In addition, on voting day, a number of violations were found and they had been handled at the location.

"The results of monitoring by friends in the regions still found that there were several records, for example lack of ballots and mixed forms," he also said.
