JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta has started serving ticket sales ahead of the Christmas and New Year 2022/2023 holidays for departures starting December 22, 2022 to January 8, 2023.

"Current ticket orders can be made since 45 days before the scheduled departure or D-45. Starting today, tickets for the departure schedule until January 1, 2023 can be ordered," said Head of Public Relations of KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Eva Chairunisa in Jakarta, Thursday, November 17.

Since the opening of the H-45 order on November 7 until today (17/11), 53,500 tickets have been sold for the December 22 departure period to January 1, 2023.

This number can still increase considering that ticket bookings are still ongoing through online sales according to D-45 provisions.

"If you refer to the provisions for booking H-45 tickets, then today, November 17, 2022, the public can also purchase train tickets for departures until January 1, 2023," he said.

Train tickets can be purchased through the KAI Access Application, the kai.id website, Contact Center 121, Counter Box and all other official KAI ticket booking partners. Meanwhile, ticket purchases at the new station can be made starting 3 hours before the scheduled departure.

Some of the favorite destinations for train passengers from Gambir and Pasar Senen include the Yogyakarta, Solo, Semarang, Purwokerto, Kutoarjo, Surabaya, Malang, Cirebon, Bandung and Tegal relations.

PT KAI again reminded people who want to travel using trains to meet the requirements in accordance with the Circular Letter of the Ministry of Transportation Number 84 of 2022 which is valid from August 30, 2022, prospective train passengers aged 18 years and over must have a third or booster dose of vaccine, while prospective users aged 6 to 17 years must have carried out the second dose of vaccine.

If there is a medical reason for not being able to vaccinate, it is mandatory to include a doctor's certificate from a government hospital.
