JAKARTA - A large tree on Jalan Outer Ring Road (JORR) Cengkareng, West Jakarta, suddenly fell during heavy rains that flushed the city of Jakarta on Thursday morning, November 17. The tree trunk covered the road, causing long traffic jams.

The West Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit, which is located around the location, immediately explained the congestion by regulating traffic. The Traffic Unit officer also evacuated the tree trunk that was blocking the vehicle's access.

West Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Head Kompol Maulana Jali Karepesina said the ranks immediately moved quickly to the location where the tree fell.

"Arriving at the location, we rushed to clean and cut down fallen tree branches, blocking roads and blocking traffic flow," said Police Commissioner Maulana Jali when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, November 17.

Kompol Maulana Jali explained that the process of evacuating fallen trees used tree axes and tree axes to cut off parts of the tree that disrupted the flow of traffic. Then other personnel help regulate traffic flow and urge road users to be careful.

"The process of evacuating fallen trees took about 1 hour and traffic flow returned to normal," he said.

Kompol Maulana Jali Karepesina appealed to the public to be careful and increase vigilance when driving in the rainy season today.
