Head of the Public Relations and Protocol Section of the Regional Secretariat of North Aceh Regency, Hamdani said, hundreds of immigrants who were stranded using wooden boats.
"The dozens of Rohingya immigrants were stranded using wooden boats. Currently they have been accommodated at the local village hall," he said in North Aceh, Antara, Wednesday, November 16.
Hamdani said the 119 Rohingya immigrants consisted of 61 adult men, 36 adult women, 12 boys and 10 girls.
"Furthermore, the North Aceh Regency Government will coordinate with the UNHCR international agency and the Lhokseumawe Immigration Office for further handling," he said.
The 111 Rohingya immigrants who were stranded last Tuesday consisted of 73 adult men, 32 adult women, five children and a toddler.
Currently, they are accommodated in the meunasah in Meunasah Lhok Village while waiting for the next step.
