Let Go Of Student Athletes To Pomnas XVII Padang, Ganjar: Don't Be Jemawa!

JAKARTA - Governor Ganjar Pranowo advised student athletes to maintain the integrity and sports sports sportsmanship. Ganjar asked them not to be complacent with the victory they won.

This was conveyed by Ganjar after releasing the Central Java Contingent at the XVII National Student Sports Week (Pomnas) in 2022, at Grhadhika Bhakti Praja. Ganjar released 221 student athletes who will compete in Padang, West Sumatra.

"There are student athletes who want to compete at Pomnas. Hopefully they will be successful. First, I order them to maintain sports integrity, maintain sportsmanship," said Ganjar, Tuesday, November 15.

Ganjar also asked the athletes not to be happy. However, the match they participated in was a talent show for the nation's children.

"No need for a sumawa, shake hands, hug other friends. And those who haven't won yet, we will still catch them on the next stage, so that they can show their achievements," said Ganjar.

That way, added the governor, the enthusiasm and integrity of Central Java athletes will be maintained. On the other hand, Ganjar also reminded lecturers and KONI to take the opportunity in this event.

"These are children who have good achievements that we have to prepare, we are fostered, we train, so that later they can compete in national, world-class classes, so that we can be proud," he said.

For information, the XVII Pomnas in 2022 will take place on November 17 26. There are 14 sports to be competed in. The Central Java contingent is scheduled to participate in all sports contested.

Pomnas is a routine activity held by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs of the Directorate General of Higher Education/Indonesian Talent Development Center through the Indonesian Student Sports Development Agency (Bapomi) organization every two years.
