Mother In Nias Tega Kills 3 Children With A Parang

MEDAN - Nias Police Criminal Investigation Unit personnel arrested a mother with the initials MT (30), a resident of Banua Sibohou Village, North Nias Regency, North Sumatra, who was suspected of being the perpetrator of the murder of her three children under five years of age (toddler). Murder is carried out using a machete.

"From the location, the police officers also confiscated evidence of a machete that was used by the perpetrator to kill the lives of his three children," said Head of Public Relations for Nias Police, Aiptu Yansen Hulu, quoted from Antara, Friday, December 11.

Yansen said that the three toddlers who were killed, namely YL (5), SL (4), and DL (2) were male. The three victims' bodies were taken to the Gunung Sitoli Regional General Hospital (RSUD) for post mortem.

The murder took place on Wednesday, December 9 at around 13.30 WIB. At that time, at 09.00 WIB, the victim's grandfather, grandmother, father, and eldest brother left for the TPS to participate in the North Nias Regent Election.

Before leaving, the four people also said goodbye to the perpetrators and the victims. But after the voting, the family was surprised to find the three victims had died horribly.

"Meanwhile, the perpetrator was next to the three victims with a supine sleeping position and a machete near him," he said.

"From the results of the examination of a number of witnesses, it is known that the motive for the perpetrator to kill his three children was because he could not bear the economic pressure," he said.
