Getaci Becomes The Longest Toll Candidate In Indonesia, Will Play The Trans Sumatra Toll Road

YOGYAKARTA Indonesia will have a new toll road that will connect West Java (West Java) with Central Java (Central Java). The longest toll road candidate in the country is called the Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap (Getaci) Toll Road.

The Getaci toll road will have a length of 206.65 kilometers and is predicted to be the longest toll candidate in Indonesia. The length of the toll road that passes in Central Java is 35.25 km, while the toll road that crosses the way in West Java Province is 171.40 km.

In the Instagram account of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (BPJT PUPR), it is stated that the construction of the Getaci toll road is a National Strategic Project listed in Presidential Decree No. 109 of 2020.

The length of the Getaci toll road seems to be shifting the title of the Terbanggi Besar-Pematang Panggang-Kayu Agung (Terpeka) toll road which has been the longest toll road in Indonesia. The Terpeka toll road itself connects Lampung to South Sumatra (Sumsel) with a length of 189.4 km. The length of the terpeka toll road is even included in the MURI (World Record Museum-Indonesia) record because it is the longest toll road in Indonesia.

The investment value of the Gedebage-Cilacap Toll Road reaches IDR 56 trillion with a concession period of 40 years. In addition, the toll road is divided into four sections, namely the following.

In this development, 8 companies are included in the consortium PT Jasamarga Gedebage Cilacap (JGC), namely PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, PT Daya Mulia Turangga-PT Sarana-PT Gama Group, PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk, PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk, and PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk.

The construction of this toll road is said to be quite complicated because it crosses several rock mountains so there will be special handling in the construction process. This toll road will also have 10 Interchange Susun (SS), which is as follows.

The construction of the Getaci Toll Road will be carried out in two stages. The first stage is Section 1 and Section 2, starting from the Junction Gedebage to the Tasikmalaya Interchange (SS) with a length of 95.52 Km. After that, the construction of the second stage is Section 3 and Section 4 which starts from SS Tasikmalaya to SS Cilacap with a length of 111.13 Km.

The progress of the construction of the Getaci Toll Road was reported by the Director of Business Development of PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk Septiawan Andri Purwanto. He said that currently the process is still in the consortium of toll construction contractors, either from State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) or the private sector.

"Currently, it is still in process with consortium members, both state-owned and private," he said at a press conference after the Public Expose, Monday, November 14.

Waskita is also said to be still carrying out the process of fulfilling obligations until the Toll Road Concession Agreement (PPJT) is signed.
