JAKARTA - Cilacap Regent Tatto Suwarto Pamuji turned out to have a nazar when he wanted to step down from his position. He will walk from his official residence to his private home for 96 km.

He fulfilled the Nazar. Towards the end of his term of office, Tatto decided to return from his official residence to a private residence in Ciguling Village, Cilacap Regency, Central Java, on foot as far as 96 kilometers.

Before leaving for his private residence, Tatto, who will end his term as Regent of Cilacap on November 19, 2022, is still leading the apple at the Wijayakusuma Hall, Cilacap, Monday, November 14 morning.

After the apple, the Regent of Tatto accompanied by his wife and children and grandchildren said goodbye by praying one by one apple participants, from the head of the service, the sub-district head, to other employees.

"This is my nazar walking when I finished taking office because the leader came and left. I used to be here accompanied by family and the community. However, now is the time to go home because of the law order, 15 years (serving) I went home," explained Tatto as quoted by Antara.

When he first was the regional head, he went to the official house to be escorted by a car, now he returns to his hometown on foot.

On foot, he wants to see the results of the construction during his 15 years in office, starting from the deputy regent, carrying out the regent's duties, to as the Regent of Cilacap for two terms.

"Besides nazars, walking is a hobby that I do regularly every day because it is healthy. I also want to say goodbye directly to the community," he said.

Nevertheless, Tatto hopes that his trip to Ciguling will not interfere with teaching and learning activities or services for regional organizations (OPD) along the route he goes through.

However, the Regent of Tato did not prohibit anyone from taking 1 minute or 2 minutes just to receive a goodbye.

"If someone takes the time of 1.2 minutes I am happy, I want to say goodbye," he said.

Tatto's journey is expected to take 4 days with several stages, namely the first day (14/11) from Pendapa Wijayakusuma to Jeruklegi and Kawunganten sub-districts.

After staying in Kawunganten District, the next day Tuesday (15/11) Tatto continued the second stage trip to Bantarsari and Sidareja sub-districts.

After staying in Sidareja District, Tatto on Wednesday (16/11) continued his journey to Chinangsi Village, Gandrungmangu District, then staying in Karangpucung District.

Tatto will last on Thursday (17/11) with the route from Karangpucung District to a private residence in Ciguling Village, Majenang District.
