Furthermore, Septi as the older brother of the victim named Reza asked for the loss of the life of a special laskar member to be paid for by his life. "I asked for justice, life for life because my brother never carried a weapon," he said.

However, Septi's request was immediately rejected by the Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI, Desmond Junaidi Mahesa. Desmond said that Indonesia is a rule of law that cannot just take someone's life away.
