ACEH - Officer of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Nagan Raya Police, Aceh Province, arrested six suspected perpetrators of illegal gold miners in the Blang Neuang Village area, Beutong District today. "We will arrest the alleged perpetrators of illegal gold mining based on information from the public," said Head of the Nagan Raya Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Machfud in Nagan Raya, Antara, Wednesday, November 9. The alleged perpetrators who have been arrested have the initials ZA (34), residents of Alue Kuyun Village, Darul Makmur District, Nagan Raya Regency, JA (22), UB (22), SB (36), JM (28) were each registered as residents of Kulam Jeureuneh Village, Beutong District, Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh Province. As well as one suspected perpetrator with the initials MI (31), a resident of Singgah Mata Village, West Baktiya District, North Aceh Regency. In addition to securing the alleged perpetrators, his party also secured a number of evidences at illegal gold mining sites. Among them are one unit of heavy equipment excavator of the orange Hitachi brand, two gold pawnshops, and three gold filters. "We have arrested the six suspected perpetrators and immediately taken them to the Nagan Raya Police Headquarters for further questioning," said Machfud. He explained that the officers made the arrest on Wednesday morning, at around 05.00 WIB involving personnel from Unit III Tipidter and Unit V Opsnal Sat Reskrim Nagan Raya Police.
