JAKARTA - In the aftermath of accusations that Dewi Ambarwati alias Dewi Tanjung said that Novel Baswedan had fabricated the case was met with counter-reporting. The PDIP cadre was reported by Yasri Yudha who claimed to have knowledge of the watering incident.

The counter-reporting was carried out because Novel was deemed inconsistent with what happened. Because, at the time of the incident, Yasri was one of those who escorted the senior KPK investigator to the hospital and made a police report.

"Why do I have to report this, yes because at that time I was the first to bring the victim or Novel, and I knew exactly what his face was, what the victim looked like at that time, which we took to the Hospital in Mitra (Family Partner) Kelapa Gading," said Yasri at Polda Metro Jaya, Sunday, November 17.

In addition, said Yasri, when the watering incident occurred, the neighbors, including himself, immediately provided first aid by bringing Novel back to the mosque to wash or clean hard water.

In fact, after washing Novel's face, the eyes of the anti-graft agency investigator were not like ordinary people. Novel's eyeballs are said to be white without the slightest black.

Thus, Yasri questioned Dewi Tanjung's accusation that Novel had fabricated the case. For him, it is simple. No one would ever want to experience a physical disability for life just to make up a case.

"Try to imagine, all of them are white (eyes). I wonder if people want to not make up the incident to damage their own eyes until now that Novel has been disabled for life," said Yasri.

"It is not natural that he (Novel) was said to have fabricated the incident. Imagine, how many operations, how many times he had to remove his gums, or all of them, why are they still accused of fabrication," he added.

Report back

Based on these reasons, Yasri made up his mind to report back to Dewi Tanjung. In fact, the report has been registered under the number LB / 7408 / XI / 2019 / Dit. Reskrimum. In that report, Dewi Tanjung was accused of Article 220 of the Criminal Code regarding false complaints.

In addition, a number of evidence was also submitted to strengthen the report directed by the PDIP cadre. "I saw it in the mass media, at that time on TV, online media and several printed media that I read and followed," said Yasri.

Previously, Dewi Tanjung reported Novel Baswedan on the accusation of having fabricated the case of sprinkling hard water. The PDIP cadre assumed that there were many irregularities in the watering incident. Starting from the form of wounds to the impact of attacks by unknown people on Novel Baswedan.

"There are a number of things that are strange from all the things that have been experienced. From the CCTV footage, the form of wounds, bandages, and a bandaged head but suddenly the eyes are blind," said Dewi after reporting at Polda Metro Jaya.

In fact, according to the former soap opera actor, the irregularities in the Novel case could also be seen from his reaction with hard water. Dewi, who is said to have studied the characteristics of people exposed to hard water, assessed that the novel should have rolled around when the perpetrator was doused.

"If people are scalded by hot water, the reaction is not to stand up but will sit down and roll, that's what I learned," he said.

Based on Dewi's report, Novel is threatened with bondage to Article 26 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 45 A Paragraph (2) of Law of the Republic of Indonesia number 19 of 2016 concerning ITE and or Article 14 A paragraph 1 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia number 1 of 1946 concerning Criminal Law Regulations.
