JAKARTA - The son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Gibran Rakabuming Raka has won the quick count version of the Solo Mayor Election. Jokowi's son-in-law, Bobby Nasution, also won the same victory in Medan.

Responding to this success, the PDI Perjuangan then expressed his gratitude even though he still asked his cadres not to be careless and still oversee the vote count in the field.

"We call on all party cadres, especially the witnesses (BSPN PDI Perjuangan) in the field to continue to oversee the process of recapitulation and vote counting," said PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto as quoted from his written statement, Wednesday, December 9.

Cadres, he continued, must continue to oversee the process of winning the candidates until they are determined by the regional General Election Commission (KPU).

"Excitement over the light of victory should not become euphoria that makes us off guard. We must continue to guard the process until it is finally officially announced by the local KPUD," he said.
