The three sub-districts are Peunarun District, Serbajadi District, and Ranto Peureulak District. The Amruk Bridge is a provincial road connecting East Aceh Regency with Gayo Lues Regency.
In addition to the cut off of access in the three sub-districts, the flood also caused three villages in Pante Bidari District, East Aceh Regency to be isolated. The three villages are Blang Seunong Village, Pante Labu Village, and Sijudo Village.
"The three villages were isolated due to flooding due to heavy rains that continued to flush the area. The overflowing river also caused hundreds of residents to flee to a number of higher points," said Ashadi.
Ashadi said that his party had sent a task force supported by the SAR and TNI and Polri teams to the three isolated villages to help residents affected by the flood.
"The team is still at flood points evacuating residents trapped in the flood. We also urge residents to be aware of further flooding because the potential for rain is still occurring in the East Aceh Regency area," said Ashadi.
Previously, Ashadi said his party recorded as many as 2,099 houses were flooded. Thousands of houses that were flooded were spread across 14 villages in sub-districts in East Aceh Regency.
"The flood also caused hundreds of people to flee at a number of points. Based on data, the number of refugees was 480 people from 120 families. We continue to coordinate with other related parties to distribute aid and evacuate residents in need," said Ashadi.
