Tommy Sumardi Reveals The Flow Of Joko Tjandra's Bribery Money To 2 Pati Polri, Some Are Angry About The Amount Of Dollars

JAKARTA - Businessman Tommy Sumardi disclosed the details of the process of handing over bribes to two high-ranking police officers (pati).

The two are former Head of the National Police's International Relations Division Inspector General Napoleon and former Head of the Coordinating and Supervision Bureau (Kakorwas) for Civil Service Investigators (PPNS) of the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit Brigadier General Prasetijo.

"Handover of money starts April 27, 2020. I called Mr. Joko Tjandra, asked me where, he said, 'You can go to the National Police Headquarters, I'll have my people, the courier will go to the Merah Delima restaurant," said Tommy at the defendant's examination trial at Corruption Court (Tipikor) Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 8.

Tommy in this case was charged with brokering bribes from Joko Tjandra to Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte worth 200 thousand Singapore dollars and 270 thousand US dollars and Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo for 150 thousand US dollars.

Then Tommy met Joko's courier named Nurdin. At that time Nurdin gave him a black plastic envelope which when opened by Tommy contained 100 thousand US dollars in 100 dollar denominations.

"Then I called Pak Prasetijo, I said I wanted to go to Pak Napo, he said Pras' OK I'll go there Ji (haji), meet at the TNCC parking lot," said Tommy,

When he arrived at the TNCC parking lot at the National Police Headquarters, Prasetijo then took a white Aplhard car that Tommy was carrying and the car moved to the TNCC lobby. At that time Tommy admitted that he had called Napoleon to give him 100 thousand US dollars.

"He was sitting over here. My money was lying around, he said 'So much money, what money is this?' I said to Pak Napo (Napoleon). 'Wow for me half of it', was taken. I said 'No, Pras, later he angry'. He said 'No, no, he is my brother', "Tommy said.

But after the two of them were in Napoleon's room on the 11th floor of TNCC, Napoleon was angry because he only saw 50 thousand US dollars.

"Ah, is this not appropriate, said Pak Napo, he was angry, I left. Pras also left," added Tommy.

Prasetijo brought the remaining US $ 50,000 in cash. Then on April 28, 2020, Joko Tjandra called Tommy again and asked Tommy to come to Hotel Mulia and meet his secretary Sisca to collect 200 thousand Singapore dollars in 1,000 dollar denominations.

"I called Pak Napo 'Bang me to the office', 'Okay ji'. I met his secretary, then the money was counted, he said OK then I called Pras, 'I said bro, the money was waiting for yesterday', he said OK I'll go there," said Tommy.

Prasetijo then went to Napoleon's room and brought a light green package.

"I predict that's the money," said Tommy so that Tommy admitted that Napoleon Bonaparte received 200 thousand Singapore dollars and 50 thousand US dollars on April 28, 2020.

The next gift was on April 29, 2020. Joko Tjandra called Tommy again and asked to go to the Merah Delima restaurant to receive money from Nurdin, this time amounting to 100 thousand US dollars.

"Then I headed back to the TNCC building, on my own, but every time I met, I would call first. At that time I said 'Bang, you have to hurry,' he said, 'yes ji yes'," said Tommy.

Nurdin then handed over the money to Tommy at the Red Delima restaurant for 150 thousand US dollars wrapped in white plastic wrap. Tommy also immediately handed over the money to Napoleon in the Kadivihubinter room

"At that time he (Napoleon) said, 'See the letter,' I asked, he said not," said Tommy.

The following day on May 5, Tommy again gave money to Napoleon. The money from Joko Tjandra was given in the Tanah Abang public kitchen by Nurdin as much as 20 thousand US dollars.

"On May 5 there was 20 thousand US dollars, because I was pressed to pay it off, so I used my money, I handed over 70 thousand US dollars," said Tommy.

Tommy admitted that he first got into a fuss with his wife because he used his money to pay for Napoleon's request.

"Because I was urged to keep on the phone with him. 'Where? Don't lie to me'. He was Mr. Napoleon saying 'I will crush you Ji. I will kill you later if you lie to me.' I'm nervous, noble, fasting month is digituin. So, I bailed out 70 thousand US dollars first, I gave everything to Napoleon, "explained Tommy.

Then on May 7, 2020, Prasetijo called Tommy and asked for his share.

"On the 7th, Pras called me, 'Bro, he said Napoleon was finished, where is the part of the cave?' I handed over 50 thousand US dollars. Using my money, in the morning I changed it to the 'money changer'," said Tommy.

This means that according to Tommy, Prasetijo received a total of 100 thousand US dollars.

It was only on May 12, 2020, that Joko Tjandra, through Fransisca, handed over 100 thousand US dollars to replace Tommy's money. Joko again gave USD 50,000 to Tommy on May 22.

"The rest is still there to me, which I will return to him (Djoko). I reported to him, he said, 'you just hold on to it first. I am waiting to go to Kuala Lumpur until this problem occurs," added Tommy.

After giving the money, Prasetijo called saying that there was a letter from Napoleon and asked Tommy to take it.

"Yes, I took it, I did not read it, but the letter was stamped by the Police Headquarters for the purpose of immigration. On my way, I called Nurdin to immediately take the letter, I received the letter two days after the 7th," said the former Malaysian PM Najib Razak.
