DKI Housing Service Makes Sure It Is Not Budgeted For A DP House Of IDR 0 Next Year

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Areas Agency (DPRKP) Sarjoko ensured that his party did not allocate a budget for the Rp0 DP House program in the preparation of the APBD for the 2023 fiscal year. The statement answered questions from the Chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono, regarding the budget allocation of IDR 1.2 trillion to the DKI DPRKP. This was conveyed by Sarjoko at a meeting of the DKI DPRD Budget Agency at the Grand Cempaka Resort, Bogor, West Java, Tuesday, November 1. "Regarding Pak Gembong's question that the indicative budget ceiling of IDR 1.2 trillion is not for the construction of Nol DP housing, sir," said Sarjoko. Sarjoko explained that the budget will be used for the construction of a simple rental flat (rusunawa) on Jalan Margasatwa, South Jakarta. This Rusunawa is intended for residents affected by the normalization of the Ciliwung River. Then, the DKI DPRKP will plan to prepare detailed engineering design for the construction of 6 flats. Furthermore, the recovery activities of 14 flats are periodic, and the regular maintenance planning of the flats is in 12 locations. The priority activities budgeted for in 2023 are the arrangement of settlements, especially slum RWs. "Regarding the implementation of slum RWs in 220 RWs that have been carried out and this is in an effort to complete the scope of work and also at the same time carry out initial planning for CIP activities (collaborative implementation programs) in 2024," explained Sarjoko. Previously, the chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono, asked the DKI Provincial Government not to allocate a budget for the Rp0 DP House program in the preparation of the 2023 APBD. In this case, the DKI Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Area Office has proposed a budget for the housing program of around IDR 1.2 trillion. However, the allocation of the budget is not yet known. Gembong also asked the DKI Provincial Government to only allocate the APBD for additional provision of rental flats. "The budget allocation for housing is around Rp. 1.2 trillion, is it intended for DP Zero or rental flat housing? My advice to the Housing Service, DKI should focus on renting flats. When it comes to the zero Rupiah DP program, I'm sorry, this is fake DP," said Gembong, Tuesday, November 1. Gembong views that the APBD should be allocated to programs that are more needed by the community. Meanwhile, people who can inhabit the Rp0 DP House are middle class because they have a maximum salary limit for residents of the house of up to Rp. 14 million. "What is certain is that in terms of designation, DP Nol is not on target. Initially, DP Nol was intended for the poor. MBR (low-income people) which earns Rp. 14 million.
