PKB Explains Cak Imin's Meaning Calls Prabowo A Presidential Candidate: In The Context Of A Presidential Candidate From The Gerindra Party

JAKARTA - Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Jazilul Fawaid explained about the statement by the General Chairperson Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin, who referred to Gerindra chairman Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate (candidate) in 2024 at the 'PKB Road To Election' Tennis Indoor Senayan event, Jakarta, Sunday, October 30.

According to Jazilul, the context of Cak Imin's statement was because Prabowo was a presidential candidate from the Gerindra Party.

Meanwhile, the question of the presidential candidate to be carried by the Gerindra Coalition and PKB has not been decided.

"The most important thing is that we adhere to the political commitment with Gerindra that the discussion between the president and vice president is in the hands of Mr. Prabowo and Gus Muhaimin. Well, of course Mr. Muhaimin was in the context of Mr. Prabowo, a presidential candidate from the Gerindra Party, but not yet from the coalition," said Jazilul to reporters at Tennis Indoor Senayan, Sunday, October 30.

Even so, Jazilul said, PKB and Gerindra will soon declare the presidential and vice presidential candidates to be carried in the 2024 General Election.

"Well, this meeting further strengthens the signal that Pak Prabowo and Gus Muhaimin in a coalition boat will later announce who the president and his presidential candidates are," he said.

The Deputy Chairperson of the MPR from the PKB faction added that currently Gerindra and PKB have also established cooperation with the establishment of the Gerindra-PKB Joint Secretariat located in Menteng, Central Jakarta.

Jazilul also ensured that the intensity of the conversation between the two political parties was getting better.

"We will start with inaugurating the Joint Secretariat (Sekber). In the near future, hopefully in early November, we will just have to arrange seats, and others, in Menteng," he said.

"And also the intensity of the Gerindra Party and PKB discussion is getting better day by day. Joint activities have been prepared with the Gerindra Party. This declaration is indeed a lot to consider," added Jazilul.

Previously, in his opening speech at the PKB Road to Election event, PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) welcomed Prabowo as a presidential candidate.

Prabowo was present accompanied by Secretary General of Gerindra Ahmad Muzani and Deputy General Gerindra Sugiono.

Initially, Cak Imin greeted one by one the invited guests who attended the event, including Prabowo. Cak Imin then called Prabowo as a presidential candidate for the Republic of Indonesia.

"What we honor, we are proud of the presidential candidate of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, which I honor," said Cak Imin.
