The search operation carried out by the Kupang Basarnas Office SAR team for 20 passengers of the Cantik Express 77 Fast Ship that caught fire in the waters of Naikliu, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, involved the families of the victims. He explained that according to the data received by the Kupang Basarnas, there were still 20 passengers who were still declared missing and participated in the cruise with the Cantika Express fast boat. According to him, the search operation which was also attended by the families of the victims on the fifth day has not been found by the victims. "Until today, there is still no sign of a victim being found," he said. He explained that the focus of the search for victims who were still declared missing had been expanded to the waters of Semau Island and Kupang Bay by deploying elements of the Antareja State Ship and RIB 10 Kupang. He said that according to Basarnas regulations, the search operation for the victims was only seven days, meaning that until Sunday (30/10) since the Cantika Express 77 Fast Ship fire occurred. "Of course we are evaluating whether it is still possible to continue the search operation or not. The evaluation is carried out involving all relevant parties in this search operation," said I Putu Sudayana.
