The victim aged about 6-7 years was found by the SAR team at 17.57 WITA floating in the waters of Barate and Tanjung Kurus beaches, Sulamu District, Kupang Regency.
He added that the SAR team using the Rigid Inflatabel Boat (RIB) of the Kupang Basarnas found the victim, who was a child, while sweeping along the coast of Sulamu to the Barase region to look for passengers who were missing in the burning incident of the Cantika Express 77 Fast Ship on Monday (24/10).
"The victim was found dead and immediately evacuated by the SAR team," said I Putu Sudayana when contacted in Kupang, Antara, Thursday, October 27.
According to him, after the victim was found, he was immediately evacuated to be taken to Kupang so that further identification could be identified by the medical team.
With the discovery of one victim who died, the number of victims who died in the burning incident of the Cantika Express 77 Fast Ship last Monday in the waters of Naikliu, Kupang Regency, reached 18 people.
"The SAR team is still searching for the victims when the SAR team returns to Kupang and the search continues," said I Putu Sudayana.
