YOGYAKARTA - Political contestation is heating up towards the end of 2022. A number of political figures have begun to show their influence in preparing for the 2024 General Election. There are several figures who have made the 2024 presidential election.

King maker is a term for calling a figure or figure who has great influence and control in a society. King maker is a term from English which means king maker. If interpreted in general, the king maker is a person who has the power to make people king or leader.

There are several big names who are considered king makers in the 2024 presidential election. These figures have status ranging from high state officials to political party leaders.

The NasDem Party appeared as the first to carry its presidential candidate for the 2024 election. The party led by Surya Paloh was considered to have taken bold and surprising steps because he dared to escape the shadow of the PDIP who dominated the vote.

Adi Prayitno, a political observer, assessed that NasDem's move to carry Anies Baswedan was a bold step. This is because the former governor of DKI Jakarta is a symbol of opposition in the government.

Megawati, the PDIP Party leader, is considered the only Queen Master figure in the 2024 presidential election. Pangi Syarif Chaniago, Executive Director of the Voxpol Center Research and Consulting, assesses Megawati can have great strength if she is in line with President Jokowi.

Pangi Syarif said Megawati and Jokowi could win the figures promoted in the 2024 presidential election if they were both united. However, until now, the internal PDI is still divided into two camps, namely defender Puan Maharani and defender Ganjar Pranowo. Megawati still raised her daughter, Puan, to run in the upcoming elections.

In addition, PDIP is a strong axis because it can nominate one partner without the need to form a coalition with other parties. The presidential candidate's decision to be carried by the red bull party is in the hands of Megawati.

The sixth President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, is considered to have great control in the nomination of presidential and vice presidential candidates in the 2024 General Election. SBY has held a meeting and approach with Surya Paloh to build a coalition between NasDem and the Democrats.

SBY came down the mountain to oversee the 2024 election. The Democrat chaired by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) joined the NasDem coalition with PKS. Currently, the internal Democrats hope that AHY will be elected as the vice presidential candidate accompanying Anies Baswedan.
