Meeting In Washington: President Of Iran's Nuclear Highlight Herzog To Weapons Assistance To Russia, President Biden Presses The TWO-Israeli-Palestinian Solution

JAKARTA - United States President Joe Biden and Israeli President Isaac Herzog held talks focused on Iran Wednesday in Washington DC, as well as alluding to a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

President Herzog said he and President Biden discussed the supply of weapons from Iran to Russia used in Ukraine. In addition, Iran's nuclear program and the suppression of its citizens were also discussed.

In addition, President Herzog also highlighted the 40th anniversary of Mahsa Amini's death (22) in a moral police custody because her clothes were deemed inappropriate, sparking national protests.

"This is an example of Iran destroying its own citizens while moving forward towards nuclear weapons and supplying lethal weapons that kill innocent citizens in Ukraine. The Iranian challenge will be a major challenge to discuss," President Herzog said.

Meanwhile, in a statement the White House said President Biden at the meeting stressed the importance of taking steps to reduce the escalation of the security situation in the West Bank, by negotiating a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine remains the best way for lasting peace.

"They discussed the importance of promoting coexistence and weakening extremists promoting hatred and violence," the White House said in a statement.

President Biden himself on the occasion appreciated the move by Israel and Lebanon to sign a maritime agreement, to set permanent limits, in which Washington helped negotiate the deal.

"I think this is a historic breakthrough. It takes a lot of courage for you to step up and step into it, and it takes real courage, and I think it takes persistent principles and diplomacy to solve it," President Biden said.
