NORTH SUMATRA - The Langkat Police Traffic Unit installed traffic signs on roads that were considered prone to traffic accidents (accidents).

Langkat Police Traffic Unit Head AKP Hosea Ginting said the installation was carried out in collaboration with the Langkat Regency Transportation Service, North Sumatra (North Sumatra).

"The factor of the accident itself could have occurred because of the human factor (of negligence in driving the vehicle)," he said in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, October 26.

In addition, he continued, accidents were also caused by vehicles that were not good, damaged roads, pencung, and no signs were available as warnings installed on the side of the road.

"How important it is for drivers to run their vehicles to always be careful and always pay attention to the road they walk through," he said.

He said that if he was negligent, he would cause an accident given the condition of the road in the jurisdiction of the Langkat Police which borders the Aceh Province, which has a straight track.

"Good asphalt, drivers must always keep the vehicle's speed well and safely," he said.

Hosea added that if it is not anticipated by installing traffic signs to be given a warning to road users, it could potentially cause traffic accidents.
