Pemprov Extends PSBB Jakarta Until 21 December

JAKARTA - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI has again extended the transitional PSBB until December 21. The results of monitoring conducted by the DKI Provincial Government show that the transmission of the corona virus in Jakarta has not improved.

"Considering these conditions, we decided to extend the PSBB transition to a healthy, safe, and productive society for 14 days, starting from December 7 to December 21, 2020," a press statement on behalf of Governor Anies Baswedan wrote, Sunday, December 6.

Some of the monitoring results in question are the filling of the COVID-19 referral hospital bed. Until November 29, the beds for the COVID-19 isolation ward were 79 percent filled. There are currently 4,851 COVID patients. Meanwhile, the total available beds are 6,129.

Then, the ICU beds were recorded to have reached 74 percent. This means that there are 630 patients from 849 ICUs in Jakarta.

Active corona cases in Jakarta have reached 11,026 people on Sunday, December 6. This condition is similar to the condition when Anies pulled the emergency brake, which was more than eleven thousand people.

Meanwhile, the positivity rate in Jakarta is still above 5 percent. As of Saturday, December 5, the weekly positivity rate in Jakarta was still 8.4 percent. This means that if it is calculated accumulatively, the positivity rate reaches 8.3 percent.
