Chairman of the Honorary Council of the PDI-P (PDIP) Komarudin Watubun imposed harsh sanctions on members of the PDIP faction of the DPR RI who are members of the Council of Colonels. There are a number of names, such as members of Commission III DPR RI Trimedya Panjaitan to members of Commission XI DPR RI Masinton Pasaribu who have been sanctioned. "We imposed sanctions on friends calling themselves the Council of Colonels, including Mr. Trimedya Panjaitan, then Mr. Johan Budi, Masinton, Mr. Prof. Hendrawan," said Komarudin at a press conference at the PDIP DPP, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, October 24. Komarudin emphasized that they were strongly sanctioned because they formed a Council of Colonels that was not in accordance with the AD/ART PDIP. The team was made to support the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, as a presidential candidate (candidate) in the 2024 presidential election. In addition, Komarudin said the Council of Colonels had actually been given a warning. "Why have they been immediately imposed the last, harsh and last sanctions? Because they carry out activities outside the party's statutes/articles, and have been given the first warning," he said. "Then this is the third and last warning," continued Komarudin. In addition, the Honorary Council of the PDIP DPP also imposed sanctions on the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo. He was given a written warning after saying he was ready if he was appointed as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election. "I said earlier that Bung Ganjar, although the statement did not violate the rules, it caused multiple interpretations in the media," said Komarudin. "That's why we gave verbal warnings," he concluded.
