PDIP Must Be Just, Don't Just Ganjar But Dare To Also Call Puan Maharani About Presidential Preparedness

JAKARTA - The Central Leadership Council of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (DPP PDIP) summoned Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo to their headquarters today, Monday, October 24. The summons is scheduled for 16.00 WIB.

PDIP summoned Ganjar Pranowo to ask for clarification on his statement which was ready to run for the presidential candidate some time ago.

Political communication observer at Esa Unggul University Jamiluddin Ritonga, assesses that Ganjar's summons is commonplace and becomes an internal PDIP issue. As a party, it is the PDIP's authority to summon cadres for statements or actions that are considered to violate party rules.

Because, according to Jamiluddin, the case of Ganjar who stated that he was ready to run for the presidential candidate could have disturbed the authority of the PDIP General Chair, Megawati Soekarnoputri. "Because the authority has been given to Megawati. Therefore, at the PDIP only Megawati has the right to declare someone a presidential candidate. Another figure is certainly prohibited from stating this," Jamiluddin said when contacted, Monday, October 24.

Of course, he continued, Megawati through the PDIP Honorary Council had the right to give witnesses to her cadres who issued statements related to the presidential candidate. The form of sanctions must refer to the AD / ART and organizational regulations that apply at PDIP.

However, Jamiluddin assessed that PDIP should also summon Puan Maharani when viewed as having expressed readiness for the presidential candidate. According to him, PDIP should treat all its cadres equally. "This needs to be done in order to fulfill the principle of justice," he said. Although it is not yet outspoken about stating as a presidential candidate, Puan Maharani has been supported by her loyalist through the council of colonel as a presidential candidate. Puan's face is also plastered a lot on billboards and posters. "The problem is, has Puan publicly stated her readiness to become a presidential candidate? Of course only PDIP knows the best," said Jamiluddin. It is known that the summons was stated in an invitation letter issued by the PDIP DPP on October 21, with a clarification agenda. It is said that the PDIP DPP wants to ask for an explanation regarding Ganjar's statement that is ready to run as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election. The letter was signed by PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and PDIP DPP Honorary Division Chairman Komarudin Watubun

Previously, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto, revealed that his party would summon Ganjar Pranowo to ask for clarification regarding his statement that was ready to run for the 2024 presidential election for the sake of the nation and state.

"Pak Ganjar will we (ask) to clarify his statement," said Hasto, Sunday, October 23.

Because Hasto said, PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri, has not announced who the presidential candidates will be. Currently, explained Hasto, PDIP is still focusing on moving downward to strengthen all cadres and their members.

"PDIP is getting stronger inside moving downwards to unite with the power of the people. The problem of presidential and vice presidential candidates has not been announced by Mrs. Mega, we are waiting for the momentum," said Hasto.
