Prepare Three Special Counters, Immigration Of Ngurah Rai Able To Defend 720 Delegations Of The G20 Summit Per Hour

The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Bali, is able to serve 720 delegates from the G20 Summit per hour, considering that there are three special counters containing a total of 12 employees prepared at the Arrival Terminal of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Head of the Immigration Office (Kakanim) Class I Special TPI Ngurah Rai Sugito is optimistic that his party is ready to welcome tens of thousands of delegates who will attend the G20 Summit in Nusa Dua, Badung, Bali, on 15-16 November 2022.

"For the completion (immigration documents) of the delegation of the G20 Summit, we are preparing a special counter regardless or separate from the completion of the general passenger. This is to maintain the smooth running of the G20 delegation. There are three immigration counters, one of which contains four officers. So, there are 12 dedicated (special) officers to complete (immigration documents) the G20 delegation," said Sugito in a statement quoted by Antara, Sunday, October 23.

With a total of 12 officers at the three immigration counters at Ngurah Rai Airport, Sugito said his party could complete the 720 delegates every hour, so he assessed that the readiness of the Ngurah Rai Immigration in the success of the G20 Summit was correct.

Three special counters for the delegation of the G20 Summit have so far served foreign delegates who attended the main series of events and companion events of the G20 Summit.

The special counter is different from the ordinary service counter, which is marked by a banner in front of the counter and a special appointment board that reads "G20 Indonesia 2022 Immigration Check Point".

For the G20 Summit, which is the culmination of the entire G20 series, there are at least more than 12,000 foreign delegates who will come to Bali.

Welcoming the foreign delegation, Immigration Ngurah Rai has alerted personnel and all facilities and infrastructure since November 8, 2022 or D-7 of the G20/G20 Bali Summit.

"To anticipate arrivals, both the advance delegation-delegation team, Immigration is ready on the spot from D-7, namely November 8. We are ready. Likewise, our return is on standby until D+7 after the G20 Summit ends," said Sugito.

In addition, Sugito also ensured that his staff was always ready to serve the arrival and return of the delegates of the G20 Summit.

On the same occasion, he mentioned that there were 177 additional Immigration employees who were transferred from various immigration offices in Indonesia, including from Palembang, Semarang, Bandung, Solo, and Yogyakarta.

"At the first opportunity, 44 people were dispatched here, as stipulated by the Decree ( DECree) from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights," said Sugito.

All additional personnel are targeted to arrive and be ready to serve in Bali by the end of October 2022.

Not only adding personnel, Sugito said that his party also received an additional 21 units of mobile units of mobile documents that are commonly used to serve VVIP guests, such as heads of state and heads of government, as well as VIP guests, such as ministers or ministerial-level officials.

VVIP guests will later undergo an immigration document check at the VVIP Building, while VIP guests will be at the VIP Building.

Other G20 Summit delegates, including the advance team of foreign delegates, will undergo an examination at the special G20 counter at the Arrival Terminal of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.
