PT Telkom Indonesia has successfully completed a test of telecommunication infrastructure readiness ahead of Indonesia's G20 Presidency conference in November.

Director of Network & IT Solution Telkom Herlan Wijanarko explained that the peak event for the G20 Indonesia Presidency is a big mandate for Telkom.

"For this reason, we are committed to contributing to the success of the implementation through the provision of infrastructure and excellent quality services during the activity, in order to achieve three successful targets, namely successful capacity, quality success, and successful customer experience," he explained, quoted from Antara, Saturday, October 22.

Located in Nusa Dua Bali, a series of testing activities were carried out to ensure that the entire main infrastructure system and backups could operate with excellent quality during normal situations and disturbances (failure).

And as part of the stress test for reliability, stability, and security systems when used in operations. The services tested include Wifi, Astinet, SIP Trunk, Telkomsel, Metro-E, UHOS/TV Hotel cable.

The service trial has been carried out since the second week of August 2022 against 128 special node infrastructure supporting the G20 event from a total of 135 nodes, with an achievement rate of up to 95 percent.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday (19/10), the rehearsal test was carried out at the last seven nodes which included three main locations for organizing the G20 peak event, namely Apurva Kempinski, Media Center Bali International Convention Center, and Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, as well as two Otomat Phone Centrals in Kaliasem and Nusa Dua. In general, the readiness of TelkomGroup infrastructure at the G20 event consists of domestic backbone infrastructure with an expansion of up to 100Tbps, international infrastructure through Manado Gateway and Batam Gateway with a total traffic of up to 8.961 Tbps, 2.070 access Wifi, 64,931 ODP IndiHome, 7,570 Telkomsel BTS, cyber security systems, to the STO power system.

Especially for the five main venues of the G20 Summit, TelkomGroup has prepared an internet of 6,750 Gbps, Wifi 772 AP, Telkomsel 10 BTS, and Metro 500 Mbps.
