Prosecutors Ask The Panel Of Judges To Reject Putri Candrawati's Notification

JAKARTA - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) asked the panel of judges to reject the exception or memorandum of objection of the legal advisor team Putri Candrawati on charges of the alleged murder of Nopriansyah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J.

The request was made when the Public Prosecutor read out his response to the exception submitted by Putri Candrawathi.

"Rejected all arguments of exception or memorandums of objection from the legal counsel for the defendant Putri Candrawathi," said the prosecutor during a trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Thursday, October 20.

In addition, the prosecutor also asked the panel of judges to accept the indictment which was registered with PDM-246/JKTSL/10/2022, dated October 5, 2022.

The reason was that the indictment file that was prepared had met the formal and material elements.

"Declaring that the examination of the defendant Putri Candrawarthi will continue," he said.

Finally, the prosecutor also asked the panel of judges to decide that Putri Candrawathi should still be detained. This is because the trial process must continue.

"Declaring Putri Candrawathi remains in custody," said the prosecutor.

For information, Putri Candrawathi is said to be involved in the alleged murder case of Brigadier J. Thus, she was charged with violating Article 340 subsidiary Article 338 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
