Dasco: President Asks KPK To Accompany Ministry Of Religion-BPH Selengganakan Hajj

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives as well as Chairman of the 2025 Hajj Supervisory Team (Timwas), Sufmi Dasco Ahmad said, President Prabowo Subianto asked the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to accompany the Ministry of Religion and the Hajj Organizing Agency (BPH) in organizing Hajj.

"The president has asked the KPK specifically to provide assistance to the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) and BPH so that this year's Hajj will run well," Dasco said in a meeting with the Working Committee (Panja) on the Cost of Organizing Hajj Commission VIII DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, January 7.

According to him, the assistance has important value to be carried out considering several findings and notes related to the implementation of the 2024 Hajj by the 2024 DPR RI Special Committee (Pansus) for Hajj Angkat 2024.

This is a note, including the discrepancy in the allocation of additional hajj quotas from the Government of Saudi Arabia which was determined by the government with the results of consultations with Commission VIII of the DPR RI.

"We have to be aware of the findings of the previous special committee that then there are collected slots so that those who are entitled to leave can leave without their rights being reduced," said Dasco.

It is known that in Hajj 2025, the departure of the first flying group (kloter) for Indonesian pilgrims is planned to take place from 2 to 16 May 2025.

The Government and the Working Committee for Hajj Fees of Commission VIII of the DPR RI have approved the 2025 Hajj Implementation Fee (BPIH) of Rp. 89.4 million and prospective pilgrims pay a Hajj Travel Fee (Bipih) of Rp. 55.4 million per person.

"Based on the amount of BPIH, the implementation of the Hajj pilgrimage in 1446 Hijri/2025 AD amounted to Rp. 89,410,258.79," said Panja Chairman Abdul Wachid while reading the meeting with the Ministry of Religion on Monday (6/1).

The BPIH composition consists of costs sourced from the value of the benefits of Hajj financial management per congregation, an average of Rp33,978,508.01 or 38 percent of the BPIH 2025 average. Then, the average Biph per congregation is Rp55,431,750.78 or 62 percent of the 2025 BPIH Hajj.

The costs are allocated for flight financing, congregation accommodation costs in Mecca and Medina, and living expenses during Hajj.

When compared to the 2024 hajj fee, BPIH decreased by Rp. 4,000,027.21. It is known that BPIH 2024 was Rp. 93,410,286 per congregation. Meanwhile, Bipih 2025 decreased by Rp614,420.82 from Bipih 2024 which amounted to Rp56,046,171.60.
