Fundraising For Charity, This Woman Cycles Naked Around London

JAKARTA - A woman cycled for ten miles around London naked. He did it while doing fundraising.

Kerri Barnes lost her cousin to suicide. He also saw that the statistics of similar cases around him were so high.

He then went on to raise funds for mental health charity Mind. Kerri's efforts, cycling in her underwear, raised more than £ 8,000.

However, the idea of exposing his body while cycling through the cold city of London was not Kerri's original idea.

After her housemates joked that riding naked bikes was an option, Kerri decided she would give it a try.

"I really wanted to do something this year to highlight awareness raising on suicide prevention and raise some money for Mind - because they have just had an increase in suicide attempts, since the second lockdown began," Kerri told LADbible.

"Unfortunately, a very close relative made several suicide attempts during the first lockdown and one of my cousins committed suicide some nine years ago.

"So I wanted to do something and I thought I was going to do something a little silly - then my housemate suggested cycling naked."

Kerri got a lot of support on social media for the action. To prepare for the London nude tour in late November, Kerri trained in a cold shower.

"Damn, it's cold! I had the right sense of humor when I failed to cross the Waterloo Bridge and was caught in the wind. Still, what a day," Kerri added.
