After Rp. 700 Million, The Man In Cilacap Was Lied To By The Gadungan Police Who Claimed To Be Able To Send His Son To Become A Member At The National Police Headquarters

CILACAP claimed to be a member of the police, a young man was arrested by members of the Cilacap Police Satreskrim. The arrest was made because the perpetrator was suspected of committing fraud by including the victim as a member of the police.

Information obtained, the arrest of the perpetrator began with the report of one of the victims who felt cheated by the perpetrator.

"He promised to include the victim's child as a member of the police, he asked for payment with a total loss of Rp. 700 million," said Deputy Chief of Police Cilacap Kompol Suryo Wibowo, in a written statement, Wednesday, October 19.

Kompol Suryo Wibowo also said that the perpetrator AH (38) was a resident of Candisari Village, Purwodadi District, Grobogan Regency, who claimed to be Densus 88 Police Headquarters.

"He promised the victim that he could include the victim's child as a member of the National Police by giving him some money," he said.

However, when the victim's child registered to become a member of the National Police 3 times in 2019 to 2021, it turned out that he failed. Then, the perpetrator lied to the victim by saying that his son had been educated and worked at the Ditsamapta Polda Central Java.

Because he was suspicious, the victim checked his son's whereabouts at the Central Java Police Dit Samapta. After checking the whereabouts of the child, he never worked there.

Feeling cheated, the victim finally reported the incident to the Cilacap Police for further processing.

For his actions, AH was threatened with Article 378 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 372 of the Criminal Code with a prison sentence of four years.
