"The Main Military Investigation Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee continues to investigate criminal cases opened under Article 351 of the Criminal Code (violation of flight rules or preparations for them) for the downing of Sukhoi-34 aircraft in Yeysk," the IC Press Service said in a press release.
Investigations have been carried out to analyze fuel samples at departure airports, as well as the necessary documentation.
"Pilots that managed to eject themselves, as well as airport personnel, are being investigated. Aviation recordings have been found from the accident site for inspection," said IC.
As previously reported, a Su-34 bomber crashed in Yeysk during a training flight on October 17, after one of its engines caught fire.
