JAKARTA - Hundreds of officers from the Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. were deployed to regulate traffic access in the Monas area, Central Jakarta. Officers were deployed to unravel congestion due to the impact of the closure of Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan.

"Our 200 people are deployed to regulate traffic along the track of the Governor and HBKB," said Head of the Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept., M Wildan Anwar to VOI, Sunday, October 16.

Wildan appealed to people who want to cross the area to find other routes to avoid congestion.

"road users can take alternative routes to their respective destinations," he said.

For the community, he continued, his party apologized and understood that today's activity was related to the separation of the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan.

"So for Jalan Merdeka Selatan we are temporarily closed for the smooth running of the event," he said.
