JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo asked the Indonesian Police to be more careful in acting in line with the many problems faced by the Police lately. The President also reminded the Police to always maintain solidity ahead of the 2024 political year. "So solidarity must be shown within the Police first, completed, then solidarity between the Police and the TNI. That will reduce political tension in the future," said Jokowi in a briefing uploaded by the Presidential Secretary's YouTube, Saturday, October 15. The head of state asked the National Police to have a sense of politics without playing politics. Jokowi also wants the Police to be solid with the TNI to maintain the stability of state security in the political year. "Don't play politics but understand political issues, because we will be included in the political year stage. If you look at the Police solidly and join the TNI solidly, then I guarantee that security and political stability will be good. No one dares to try, if anyone tries, just be firm," said Jokowi. Jokowi assessed that all levels of the National Police must also equalize the vision and mission related to organizational policies. He said the Police should not seem gamang. "As a leader in the region, don't be confused, let alone look for safety.
